Shift: Days
Purpose of The Position: Responsible for assisting production with day to day tasks such as slagging, deburring, confirming measurements with blueprints, tack welding, adept at using hand tools, grinders and scrapers.
Major Duties:
- Confirm order requirements are met, including the proper selection of job priority, material, lenses, speed, and program loading.
- Assist in making adjustments, and helping to optimize production quality and efficiency.
- Assist in first part inspection on all production runs to specified tolerances and dimensional check.
- Fill out necessary forms and paperwork, including routing sheets, time cards, production reports, etc.
- Assist in handling material with use of overhead crane and forklift.
- Support operator in the routine maintenance, care, and cleaning of equipment and work area.
- Participate in insuring a safe work environment through best practices including promoting of all company safety policies, OSHA guidelines, maintenance of a 5S work station.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED optional
- Ability to read, and interpret prints
- Able to read Standard English and metric tapes and micrometers
- Must understand program editing, basic machine functions, safe operations, machine adjustments and reading, basic math, and dimensional knowledge
- Full understanding of material flow and routing
- Prior fabrication experience (crane operation, metal processing, and material handling equipment) experience preferred.
- Attendance is crucial in this position.
Pay Range: $17.50 - $19.50 hourly DOE
