Production Assembler

JOB TITLE: PRODUCTION ASSEMBLER

SUMMARY

Responsible for performing various tasks on a production line in a trailer manufacturing facility. Production Assemblers are needed to fill positions that perform installation of springs, axles, wires, lights, labels, tires, etc. While performing these tasks, the incumbent must perform as a member of a team striving to accomplish the production standards in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost. Incumbents are also required to perform other miscellaneous tasks, as assigned by his or her leadership.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards.
• Follow prescribed procedures and guidelines.
• Assemble items as instructed by production leadership.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Provide the proper care of all equipment and facilities.
• Follow all company rules and policies.
• Provide a high level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
• Follow all safety rules and quality standards.
• Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Uphold all OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above.
• Clean-up work area daily.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques involved in the effective manufacture of goods.
• Ability to produce quality products consistently.
• Ability to follow instructions given both verbally and in written form.
• Willingness to learn and work to the best of his/her abilities as well as dependable work ethic.
• Must have reliable transportation and the ability to be at work on time.
• Must be able to work 2nd shift.
