The Production Assembler will assemble and calibrate complex electronic instruments used in the water treatment industry. This position is responsible for the assembly of electronic and mechanical instruments. The position may also requires producing, packaging, and packing various components.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  • Assemble complex electronic instruments used in leak detection applications.
  • Must be able to work in a production environment
  • Able to work safely around electrical, Mechanical equipment, water, and power tools
  • May be asked to use or learn soldering
  • Some lifting required
  • Some assembly requires ability to apply force
  • Able to take instructions in English and read technical documents in English
  • Ability to take direction
  • May be asked to train other employees
  • Familiarity with electrical, mechanical equipment, power tools and safety standards
  • Ability to use computers
  • Complete other tasks as assigned
EDUCATION:
  • High School Diploma (or Equivalent)
  • Trade school training in Electronics can be substituted for experience
MANAGEMENT:
None
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 1-3 years’ experience. Technical education may be substituted for experience
  • Ability to read, write and understand instructions in English
  • Must be able to work in a production environment
  • Able to work with hand tools, power tools, mechanical equipment, and some electronic instruments
  • Read drawings and follow technical instructions to assemble instruments in English
  • Complete tasks in a consistent organized way
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds without assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Salary Range: $24.50 - $26 hourly
  • WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Work in a manufacturing environment
  • Work around mechanical equipment using PPE
  • Standing for long periods required
  • As required by the Americans Disabilities Act (ADA)
