This position designs art and layouts for company products and materials in multiple languages while being responsible for maintaining and organizing production files saved on servers, SharePoint and Smartsheet’s. This position is a hybrid role in Salt Lake City, Utah Headquarters.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Layout product in various languages using, Adobe InDesign, Adobe illustrator and adobe photoshop.
• Receive idml files from translators of various languages produced by translation software, make corrections and adjustments to layout and ensure clean readability.
• Makes edits and changes to files; coordinates file layouts in line with release dates. Communicate effectively with translators, proofers and other departments regarding document changes, project details, and other relevant matters.
• Determines size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy; arranges layout based upon available space, esthetic design concepts, and existing style sheets
• Communicates production-related information and timelines between all resources committed to each product release
• Compares the printer blueline to the final version of the working document for errors or inconsistencies
• Aids in implementing and maintaining Priority Dispatch Corporation and International Academies of Emergency Dispatch standards across all products and supporting materials
• Helps keep sufficient product inventory by printing smaller amounts of products on an in-house printer
• Ensures artwork and approval forms are stored and archived properly
• Review, update and maintain PowerPoint files, using knowledge of Master pages, image replacement, and animations.
• Image creation for various software products
• Print files such as exams and booklets In-house to maintain sufficient product inventory.
• All other duties as assigned

Qualification Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of production/page layout experience
• 2 – 3 years experience in Adobe Creative Cloud and Indesign
• Must have Meticulous attention to detail; commitment to producing quality product; deadline conscious
• Ability to work autonomously
• Eagerness for acquiring new knowledge
• Ability to take the initiative and expand knowledge
• Experience proofreading experience preferred
• Experience in organizing and coordinating information and deadlines

Physical Requirements  

• This is a typical office job which requires the ability to sit for long periods of time at a desk with occasionally moving, standing, and walking  
• Occasionally requires lifting of 10 -15 lbs.
• Frequent computer use
• Concentrating for long periods of time
