This person must be:
- Proficient in managing production approval processes.
- This person should have 4 plus years in the apparel industry must understand the quality and testing protocols.
- This person will have Daily communication with overseas suppliers on all production approvals to ensure timely deliveries to the factories.
- Proficient in PC applications, including Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite.
- This person will Manage the fabric, trim, and color approval process, in a timely manner from start to finish.
- This production person will be working with the Design team to oversee fabric, color and trim approvals to ensure it meets the company quality assurance.
- Work with overseas vendors to ensure timely delivery of all submissions and approvals.
- Able to Monitor deadlines and approval milestones for all submits.
- Evaluate bulk fabric submissions against established standards for quality, hand feel, weight, stretch, and color.
- Ensure color consistency across multiple styles.
- Approve layout of all labels, including integrated hangtags.
- Maintain an organized seasonal filing system for all submissions.
- Provide detailed instructions to vendors and mills regarding fabric, trim, and color submissions.
- Request lab dip submissions and enforce adherence to approval deadlines.
- Oversee and manage fabric testing processes.
- Effectively communicate approval updates and address timeline discrepancies with Production Managers.
- Assist with quality issues by reviewing concerns, testing outcomes, and providing improvement directions.
