PRODUCTION AND LOGISTICS SUERVISOR - NOVI, MI

Our client is seeking a Production and Logistics Supervisor to join their growing organization as the Productions and Logistics Supervisor you will be responsible for the set up and supervision of the production team, driving purchasing, inventory, manufacturing and shipping management in the ERP system.

PRODUCTION AND LOGISTICS SUERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Procurement including preparing purchasing requisitions, supervising the procurement of critical parts components, coordinate with Supply Chain Manager and negotiate pricing and MoQs with Suppliers.

Setting up new and running current productions lines, managing daily operations in the ERP system, leveraging ERP system to drive lean purchasing and manufacturing initiatives. Implement and manage aftermarket repair processes.

Develop, train and schedule team to meet productions demands. Develop performance metrics.

Engage in production during peak periods.

Planning for creation and maintenance of master productions schedule to establish sequence and lead time of operation requirements to meeting. Plan and prepare weekly/monthly production schedules.

Manage all aspects of stockroom operations including inventory and storage. Manage sales and disposal of E&O inventory and semi-annual asset inventory.

Shipping including customs documentation, relationships with transportation partners, all shipping and receiving activities and any freight issues with carriers.

Create and manage warranty process including RMA processing, aftermarket sales, defective components for credit and manage quality and warranty operations.

Continued process improvement, training and development.

PRODUCTION AND LOGISTICS SUERVISOR REQUIREMENTS

4-6 years experience in production management.

Strong communication skills both verbal and written.

Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to motivate and develop a team.

Experience working in ERP/MRP systems, experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP a plus.

Strong Microsoft Office skills, emphasis on Excel

Bachelors' degree in Operations/Production management is preferred but not required.

APICS (CPIM) certification preferred.
