Job Responsibilities:
- Advising and consulting customers on Product Support related needs.
- Provide parts, service, sales and Product Support to Fabick Cat's truck customers including Cat warranty offering of extended service contracts.
- Develop our existing customer base and grow number of accounts for incremental truck parts and service business.
- Assist customers in providing value added solutions to their fleet and operational needs as one of their key customer contacts.
- Operate in a team environment including all branch personnel and capabilities to meet customer needs which includes working with Parts and Service Managers and enlist their help as necessary to bring in new business, take proper care of existing business and resolve any customer issues.
- Research, write, and provide customers with quotes for engine overhauls and major truck repairs.
- Any and all other duties as assigned.
Desired Skills
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required, college degree preferred.
- 1- 3 years of outside sales experience and/or training required, preferably with heavy duty truck experience.
- 3-5 years of sales and/or extensive truck Product Support experience with heavy duty trucks preferred.
- Must demonstrate good problem-solving skills.
- Must have mechanical aptitude.
- Requires excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency with computers and aspects of Microsoft office desired.
- Must maintain good work habits.
- Possess above average math, science, and English skills.
- Ability to read and interpret quotes.
- Requires self-motivation and a desire to perform.
- Must be able to work overtime, on-call, and travel within an assigned territory to visit customers when required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Strong sense of urgency is required as well as the ability to prioritize and manage projects simultaneously.
- This individual should preferably live within the designated territory.
Physical Requirements:
In addition to being able to sit, stand, walk, read, talk, write and hear, to perform the essential functions of this job an individual must be able to do the following additional activities: work in all types of weather (extreme heat and cold), climb up and down on huge equipment, travel > 50% of the time, lifting 50lbs or less, significant time spent working on a computer and traveling long distances.
