We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Product Risk Associate to join our growing team. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our risk management strategy by leveraging proprietary financial models and methods. You will be responsible for accurately forecasting the financial implications of trading challenges, ensuring the stability and profitability of our operations.

Core Responsibilities

In your role as the Product Risk Associate, your responsibilities will include adapting to dynamic market conditions, maintaining model accuracy in response to evolving trader behaviors, engaging in the product life cycle, and actively participating in projects to implement product changes. Furthermore, it will be crucial to effectively communicate complex financial data to stakeholders and offer insights and solutions during the product design processes.

Risk Assessment

  • Conduct comprehensive analyses of proprietary financial models to identify potential risks associated with trading challenges.
  • Develop a deep understanding of market dynamics, regulatory changes, and other external factors that may impact the financial performance of the company.

Forecasting & Scenario Analysis

  • Utilize advanced forecasting techniques and scenario analysis to predict the potential impact of market events and trading challenges on the company's financial performance.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop strategies for mitigating identified risks.
  • Establish a monitoring method for real-time risk assessment, and provide timely and accurate reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Design and execute stress tests to evaluate the resilience of our systems and operations under extreme market conditions.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Stay abreast of relevant financial regulations and ensure that risk management practices align with compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to develop and maintain a robust risk management framework.

Continuous Improvement

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating and implementing new risk management tools, techniques, and technologies.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on the company's risk exposure, highlighting key areas of concern and proposed risk mitigation strategies.
  • Effectively communicate risk assessments and recommendations to executive leadership and relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • An advanced degree or certification such as CFA or FRM would be advantageous.
  • Proven experience in financial modeling and risk analysis, preferably in a Trading or FinTech environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve financial models and build reporting dashboards.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong knowledge and experience using Python.
  • Ability to use REST APIs to pull data from our proprietary databases.
  • Ability to communicate complex data clearly and concisely.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement with a collaborative mindset.
  • Capability to uphold a high degree of confidentiality when managing sensitive information, such as intellectual property belonging to the company.
Rate & Benefits

Overview

Level: Associate

At Easton Tech, we offer a structured career progression with distinct levels, each representing increasing responsibility and expertise. Our levels are as follows: Analyst, Associate, Director, Vice President, and Executive.

Location: Remote, US-Based
Start Date: Immediately
Schedule: Our core team is online 8am - 5pm EST with a 1-hour lunch break

Compensation

Base Salary: $90k -$140k.

Additionally, US-based W2 employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and benefits, including health care and PTO. Easton Consulting Technologies operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy, and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, department, and individual performance.

Paid Time Off

PTO: 15 Days - Accrued per pay period
Personal Days: 5 Days - Accrued per pay period
Sick Days: 8 Days - Accrued per pay period
