Position Overview 

We are looking for a Product Photographer to join the Stanley Creative Team. The Product Photographer will be part of the Creative Brand team at Stanley and will be responsible for the end-to-end creation of high-quality Product Photography assets of our complete product line across all regions (North America, Latin and South America and Europe/Middle East/Africa). 

 

You have strong compositional and technical photography skills, a strong understanding of color accuracy and directional studio lighting, keen attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a team environment. This role will be expected to manage project workflow, bring ideas and a point of view to the table, continually work to improve new and changing processes, and work across channels with internal partners. This role requires an in-person on-site presence -- studio space, gear, and equipment are provided to ensure the most consistent and on-brand execution. The presentation of our products to our consumers is critical to our success. 

 

About the Role 

  • Produce high-quality, digital product photographs to be used for a variety of e-commerce, external and internal needs 
  • Collaborate with Creative, Product and CMF (color, material & finish) teams to capture new colors, materials, finishes, and techniques 
  • Maintain brand product image standards, aesthetic standards, and consistency in all shoots 
  • Plan composition, lighting, camera position and camera angle to achieve desired aesthetic 
  • Enhance photographs through post-production by retouching and color-correcting in Photoshop and CaptureOne 
  • Partner with CMF team to ensure color accuracy across all items/colors/angles using a color-balanced lightbox 
  • Upload, tag, and organize Product and Lifestyle assets in our Digital Asset Management system 
  • Partner with internal teams on internally facing photography projects such as event photography, staff portraits, and video interviews. 
  • Partner with Marketing, Sales, Product, Ecommerce and People Team departments on studio/product photography projects (ex. employee headshots, interviews, miscellaneous internal projects) 
  • Maintain proper file management, accurate naming, and detailed retouching notes 
  • Share responsibility for proper care, upkeep, and maintenance of the photo studio workspace, equipment, and supplies 
  • Simultaneously manage multiple, multifaceted projects, and the timelines and deliverables for those projects 

 

 

About You 

  • Expert knowledge of professional digital photography equipment, studio lighting techniques, digital workflow, and terminology 
  • Experience working within an in-house product photography studio 
  • Expert knowledge of industry standard software Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop), Capture One 
  • Confident in expertise of Studio ecommerce photography - you are a subject matter expert and can solve for photo issues as they arise in real time and pivot accordingly 
  • Meticulous retouching skills with a keen eye for detail, color accuracy, and texture 
  • Interest in creative lifestyle photography for potential future content generation 
  • Video editing capabilities with Adobe Premiere Pro & After Effects experience preferred 
  • Strong interpersonal skills are essential - ability to maintain a positive and respectful attitude on and off-set is a must 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information 
  • Can work effectively under pressure 

 

Education and Experience

  • 5+ years' experience in commercial photography 
  • Expert retouching skills and experience in color-adjustment 
  • A solid online portfolio demonstrating creative and technical expertise 
  • Experience working with national and/or global retail brands and seasonal timelines 
  • Video experience preferred

The base pay range for this position is for a successful candidate within the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on multiple factors, such as work location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, and experience.
