Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager with a keen focus on meeting customer needs through product differentiation and innovation. In this role you will develop a product vision, roadmap & execution plan for your category as a strategic lever to drive profitable revenue, sustainable growth and market share gain. This includes managing products throughout their product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with research and development as well as other key stakeholders to deliver winning products.

Job Responsibilities

  • Under general supervision, develop product category to maximize profitability and share gain
  • Develop 3 to 5 year product strategies and annual roadmaps for product category, product family or product line leveraging data analysis and market insights while also aligning with related brand strategies
  • Continuous market and competitive intelligence monitoring as well as customer and prospect needs assessment for product categories
  • Lead cross-functional core teams with representation from R&D, Operations, Sales, Marketing, IT & Procurement to take new products from concept to market through stage gate process
  • Lead the collection of business requirements from key stakeholders
  • Clearly establish and communicate the value proposition of new products
  • Work closely with Marketing to develop product content and positioning for commercialization
  • Develop monthly dashboards and reporting to track key insights and product financials, inclusive of attachment (pull through sales and overall product profitability)
  • Provides support in preparation for annual product planning process business plans, and forecasts for product categories.

  • Strong strategic acumen, with ability to work through ambiguity and demonstrate consistent approach to solving complex problems
  • Experience managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
  • Critical & multi-level thinking (from strategic to tactical)
  • Able to own and run with multiple projects concurrently
  • Strong cross-functional leadership abilities & interpersonal skills
  • Excellent planning, execution and project-management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills

Job Requirements

  • Experience in product management, product life-cycle, competitive positioning and marketing
  • Experience working in building products preferred
  • 5-10 years of experience in product management, product marketing or similar role
  • S. in Marketing, Business, Engineering or related field
  • MBA with B.S. in technical field preferred
