As a Product Manager at Kerv, you will be responsible for guiding the success of our Image and Video Recognition (VR) product suite and leading the cross-functional team that is responsible for improving it. This involves bridging gaps between different functions within the company and aligning all of the teams involved — namely design, operations, sales, marketing, and customer support. Your job will be to provide deep product knowledge, and to keep the team focused on the product's objectives while balancing changing priorities to drive success.
Responsibilities:
- The owner and subject matter expert of their product(s) / domain, able to answer or find the answer to questions in their domain
- Work with other leads and VP to define the product strategy and roadmap in alignment with the company's OKRs, vision, and customer needs
- Work closely with the engineers on the VR Team
- Maintain a carefully refined and prioritized backlog of items for your team to work on
- Lead cross-functional teams in planning, development, and launch of product initiatives
- Serve as a liaison between the engineering team and other stakeholders, explaining technical details and requirements in a clear, understandable manner
- Understand and identify customer needs and market gaps
- Support sales, marketing, and operations teams to develop go-to-market strategies
- Provide necessary information, artifacts, and documentation to generally support sales and marketing efforts
- Analyze the performance of the product(s) and develop metrics for success
- Engage closely with customers to gather feedback and understand their needs and experiences
- Create documentation for existing and future product features
- Participate in and present to the wider KERV team when the occasion arises
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years experience in product management or a related role
- Strong understanding of business and customer dynamics
- Excellent communication, leadership, and influence skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Versatile and adaptable, with the ability to wear multiple hats in a small company setting
- Experience in advertising technology preferred
- Experience working with image or Video Recognition technology preferred
- Experience working in a small company or startup environment preferred
Location:
- Hybrid role, where there is flexibility to work from home but an office space is available in Austin, TX. Occasionally would be encouraged to come in for meetings and social events.
