The Energy Markets System Product Manager is responsible for developing product vision and roadmaps that enable MISO to deliver on its strategies. You will work across various business, technical, and vendor stakeholders, including MISO leadership, to discover opportunities! Coordinate with Product Owners to deliver solutions using Agile methodologies. As our Product Manager, you will also collaborate with systems engineering, software engineering, data services, architecture services, market design and other teams to enable the product strategy and continually evolve the offering.
Some of the Product Manager responsibilities include:
- Develop product roadmaps by collaborating with stakeholders to identify goals and objectives that address system needs across planning horizons
- Facilitate, synthesize and sequence strategic inputs into long-range roadmaps that contribute to strategic goals and objectives
- Act as thought leader corporate-wide, advising cross-functional teams to achieve defined strategic objectives furthering MISO’s strategy
- Facilitate trade space analysis including demand management, resource allocation, business value, change management, and risk mitigation to mature decision making for portfolio planning
- Advocate for and mature SAFe agile methodology principles
- Support organization transformation management needs
To be a successful Energy Markets Product Manager, we’re looking for the following skills/experiences:
- 10+ years of relevant work experience
- Defining and evaluating technologies, documenting and managing implementation of multi-year roadmaps that meet organizational strategies
- Understanding of energy markets related products -- DART, market operators interface (MOI), capacity analysis tools (CSAT, LAC), etc.
- Examples of prioritizing the solutioning of strategic and business needs
- Maturing and standardizing Product Manager principals across an organization
- Strong business acumen and technical depth to engage in problem solving with business and technical teams
- Building positive relationships through collaboration with other business leaders to prioritize the sequence of software development for the team
- Bachelor’s degree in related field; MBA or MS degree (preferred but not required)
