Palmer Hamilton and its PH Design division primarily serve the K-12 education market focusing on food court and other learning spaces. Via it’s PHabLAB and INVENTORCLOUD divisions, it provides turnkey makerspaces and project-based learning resources for STEM / STEAM education. As of 2020, Palmer Hamilton officially established Hamilton Manufacturing Services, a wholly owned subsidiary that provides OEM services to customers across a multitude of industries.
Job Summary: We are looking for a dynamic Product Manager to drive Palmer Hamilton’s overall product strategy. This role will be responsible for the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and development to launch and ongoing optimization. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of market trends, portfolio optimization, customer needs and a passion for growing the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy, Planning and Growth:
· Develop and execute the product strategy aligned with company goals and market demands.
· Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities within existing or adjacent segments.
· Conduct competitor analysis to identify opportunities and threats.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product roadmaps that include a mix of existing product improvements and new products that are added to the overall portfolio.
Product Development:
· Lead new product development projects through the Palmer Hamilton tollgate process, ensuring cross-functional collaboration that results in on-time and on-budget product launches.
· Define and implement a process by which to prioritize product enhancements and new product introductions based on market growth potential, cost savings or other business metrics.
· Define product requirements, specifications, and user stories based on market and customer insights as well as industry regulatory requirements and trends.
Product Launch and Marketing:
· Create and execute go-to-market plans for new product launches.
· Collaborate with the marketing team to develop compelling product messaging and positioning.
· Support sales teams with product training and collateral.
· Define and implement a post launch process by which Palmer Hamilton can measure success of new products based on a variety of business metrics including sales growth, share gain and margin improvement.
Product Performance and Optimization:
· Actively optimize product line profitability by managing price strategy and analyzing cost and margins to ensure over portfolio profit targets are achieved.
· Monitor and analyze product performance metrics, customer feedback, and market trends.
· Identify areas for improvement and optimization of existing products.
· Make data-driven decisions to enhance product competitiveness.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
· 6 years + experience as a Product Manager, with a successful track record of launching and managing large complex product portfolios.
· Experience in conducting Voice of Customer (VOC) methodologies (quantitative and qualitative) then using insights to inform and shape product strategies.
· Strong strategic thinking skills with demonstrated ability to define and clearly present data driven product strategies to Senior Management.
· Very proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications with strong business analytical skills.
· Excellent communication and project management skills, team player and ability to multi-task required.
· Familiarity with the educational and commercial furniture industry is preferred.

Pay: $83,875.48 - $101,011.33 per year
