Insomniac produces some of the most innovative, immersive music festivals and events in the world. Enhanced by state-of-the-art lighting, pyrotechnics and sound design, large-scale art installations, theatrical performers and next generation special effects, our events captivate the senses and inspire a unique level of fan interaction. Insomniac produces 10,000 concerts, club nights and festivals for seven million attendees annually across the globe. Since its inception, Insomniac's events have taken place in 13 countries across five continents. The company's premiere annual event, Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas, is the world's largest dance music festival and attracts more than 525,000 fans over three days. The company was founded by Pasquale Rotella and has been based in Los Angeles since it was formed in 1993.
THE ROLE
Insomniac is looking for an innovative Product & Interaction Designer to elevate our digital experiences. This role combines product design with creative interaction design, focusing on crafting immersive web interfaces that reflect the vibrancy of live events. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of technical skill and creative vision, capable of delivering intuitive and engaging digital experiences.
Responsibilities

  • Lead the design of interactive web elements that enhance user engagement, using advanced techniques for immersive and dynamic experiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align web and product designs with the overall vision and user needs.
  • Use analytics and user feedback to inform decisions, continuously iterate, and improve the digital product experience.

Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in product and interaction design, with a portfolio showcasing successful web-based projects.
  • Proficiency in web technologies geared towards interactivity and animation, such as WebGL, GSAP, and Three.js.
  • Strong skills in design tools like Figma and Framer, capable of creating interactive and detailed prototypes.
  • A solid grasp of product design principles, coupled with a passion for creating intuitive and engaging user experiences.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments
  • Must be willing to work in drastic temperature climates when onsite at our events
  • Must be willing to travel to work during evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines

Hiring Salary Range: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 USD

The expected compensation for this position in California is:
$96,000.00 USD - $120,000.00 USD
