- Anticipated salary range of $85,000 to $105,000, depending on relevant work experience and technical skill level.
- Developing and implementing test procedures and product prototypes.
- Testing products to ensure they meet performance and quality standards.
- Maintaining organization and updating all engineering/manufacturing documentation such as schematics, bills of materials (BOMs), assembly instructions, and manufacturing test procedures (MTPs).
- Facilitating processing of design change documentation for both hardware and software.
- Serving as the primary technical interface to our off-site manufacturers and outside design firms, including answering technical questions, sourcing replacement components, and distributing updated product documentation.
- Learning the fundamentals of our various products in active development.
- Providing thoughtful feedback regarding future product development.
- 5+ years of professional experience in a related role.
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in a technical field.
- In-depth knowledge of product development processes, including ideation, design, and testing.
- General understanding of hardware manufacturing processes.
- Basic understanding of IP networking, SSH, and FTP.
- Proficiency in using test and laboratory equipment such as multimeter, soldering iron, signal generator, and oscilloscope.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively and efficiently.
- Attention to detail, strong organization skills, and a passion for quality.
- Advanced degree in Software or Mechanical Engineering.
- Basic understanding of C, C++, and Make.
- Familiarity with hardware component procurement processes.
- Experience in schematic capture and/or PCB layout using tools such as OrCAD or DipTrace.
