What You Will Do:
The Product Development Nurse Coordinator has responsibility for the routine management of patients billed under a bundled rate contract which consists of: clinical and financial monitoring, reporting and analysis. Focus will consist of managing regional and direct to employer referrals billed under the bundled rate contracts from an operational and educational perspective.
Acts as a primary interface with patient, insurance companies, clinical staff and billing personnel both internally and externally. Must display excellent customer service, problem solving and communication skills. Responsible for analyzing industry trends, competitor position; identify and evaluate potential payor/employer partner(s).
Responsibilities include:
- Provides initial clinical screening of new referrals and submits to HUSA to collect records.
- Triages records and imaging for chart completion and forwards to surgeon or clinical lead for formal review.
- Notifies patient of acceptance or denial for consultation or procedure.
- Serves are remote patient navigator, or when needed, in person navigator, to assist patient with travel aspects of upcoming consult or surgery.
- Product development, implementation and evaluation
Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree in nursing required. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
- A minimum of three years' experience in Product Development, product management, managed care, or clinical administration in health care or insurance industry.
- Current registered nurse licensure in the state of Maryland.
