Job Overview:
The Product Developer is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of Vistelar’s Product Portfolio and will report to the VP of Product & Delivery. The Product Developer will be accountable for the product development process from start to finish, and this will include scope, design, project management, and creation. The Product Developer position will rely on industry-specific knowledge and experience, to be a company subject matter expert on conflict management and physical tactics.
Job Responsibilities:
Instructional design (i.e., adult-learning-focused curriculum, courseware, and online on-demand course development)
Program implementation and sustainment (e.g., project management of product creation and updates)
Ongoing initiative to formulate empirical-research-based best practices for conflict prevention and the reduction and management of conflict, crisis, and physical violence
Production of Courseware (PowerPoint, word docs, online training courses, outlines, etc.)
Occasional course instruction
Partnership with the Director of Training to train and build skills in Vistelar instructors
Observing the implementation of training products in conjunction with providing updates, improvements, and changes in product
Partnering/consulting with customers on requests for product customizations and managing those requests
Production of white papers, blogs, books, and other professional writing items/publications according to requests/marketing needs
Subject Matter Expertise, speaking and facilitation with customers and prospective customers
Participation in capabilities presentations to potential customers led by a member of the sales team, to serve as a workplace violence and conflict management expert
Required Qualifications:

This vision also includes increasing confidence in managing conflict, crisis, and physical violence
Exceptional track record as an educator, with previous experience in high-conflict role or roles
Academic credentials in training, education, instructional design
Knowledge and understanding of workplace violence prevention requirements
Leadership interest, experience, and abilities
Excellent project management, training, presentation, and writing skills
Strong interpersonal skills to support working with a diverse team, both internal and external to the company
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Comfortable and proficient in using online systems (e.g., virtual training, customer relationship management, training management, surveys)
