Leading hardware supplier to the window and door industry has an opportunity in our engineering department.

- Ability to use hand tools and cutting tools.
- Must enjoy working with your hands.
Responsibilities include:
- Travels to window manufacturers and extruders to better understand what hardware solutions are required to meet their current and future needs, and to facilitate development of new parts or improve on current designs.
- New Product Development/Continuous Improvement
- Design and develop new products, or installation and operation processes.
- Actively support and participate in the company’s hardware training program.
- Participation in the annual industry trade show. Includes: assisting with setup and tear down of show booth and displays prior to and after the show. Assisting sales staff with customers during the show.
- Manage projects to completion within a specified timeline.
- Maintain projects in project tracking software.
- Communicates project status to all interested parties internally and externally.
- Create models, drawings, charts, graphs, to clearly communicate specifications to other team members.
- Develops and carries out test plans and experiments to validate product/process design and performance.
- Engineering Support
- Educate sales and customer service regarding new or revised products.
- Answer questions regarding product quality, performance or specification as required.
- Develops inspection plans for inspection and testing of parts relating to quality issues.
- Field testing and troubleshooting support as necessary to investigate customer concerns.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
