Product Design Engineer

Purpose of Role:

• To improve the performance, design and manufacturability of existing products and to research, design and launch new products

Core Responsibilities Outline:

• 1.01 Collect and collate feedback from clients and internal team members for improvements to existing products and new product ideas
• 1.02 Identify solutions for improvements to existing products to improve performance, design and manufacturability and/or reduce cost
• 1.03 Design, model, install and test prototypes for products
• 1.04 Research suppliers for components and obtain pricing
• 1.05 Create parts lists and dimensional calculations
• 1.06 Research and assess appropriate production processes
• 1.07 Produce final drawings, specifications, and installation manuals
• 1.08 Assist all internal departments and team members with needs relating to product updates and launches
• 1.09 Assist with planning and execution of marketing initiatives relating to product updates and new products
• 1.10 Maintain updated database for technical drawings and specifications
• 1.11 Assist engineering team in designing solutions for custom projects as needed

Additional Responsibility:

• 2.01 Work willingly with all members of the MetroWall team

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
