Product Data Specialist

Job Summary: As a Product Data Specialist at Salon Service Group, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our Product Data. You will be responsible for entering and managing all SKU details in our computer system, ensuring that information related to cost, pricing, sales territory, promotions, discounts, and more are up-to-date.

Essential Functions:

• Accurately enter and maintain all SKU details in the computer system
• Process new SKU information from all suppliers while maintaining all modifications to existing SKUs, including cost, sale pricing, unit weights and measurements, UPC, sales discounts, etc.
• Ensures supplier costs and pricing are correct and updated in a timely manner including contacting suppliers regarding discrepancies
• Ensure supplier distribution selection is correct within territory guidelines set by OEMs
• Ensure that the Product Data aligns with the designated sales regions
• Process promotional SKU set up and verification process
• Coordinate bi-monthly promotions with our internal Marketing department with regards to sales pricing, customer savings, and sale margin with a follow-up verification process
• Conduct regular audits of Product Data to identify and rectify discrepancies
• Implement and maintain data quality standards to ensure accuracy
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Store Operations
• Collaborate with vendors to obtain and update product information

Who you are:

• Proven experience in Product Data management within the beauty or retail industry
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Proficient in data entry and database management
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with beauty supply industry terminology and product organization (preferred)
• Previous experience in a fast-paced distribution environment (preferred)
• Knowledge of industry trends and pricing strategies (preferred)
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time with sedentary work
• Able to exert up to twenty pounds of force occasionally
