GCU Facilities manages and services all university-owned property. By the development and maintenance of the GCU campus and surrounding areas, the GCU Facilities team aims to support and ensure the accomplishment of the university's mission. By working creatively and collaboratively, the Facilities team fulfills the needs of the university by successfully managing resources while delivering excellent customer service.
Grand Canyon University is seeking a full time Procurement Coordinator. The Procurement Coordinator will perform administrative activities related to data collection, maintenance, and management of data for department expenses. The Procurement Coordinator collects, reviews, confirms, and inputs receipts for purchases.
What you will do:

  • Receive receipts and inputs data ensuring proper coding for accounting purposes. Ensures receipts are received on a timely basis and follows up as necessary or elevates to the Facilities Manager.
  • Maintain appropriate files of contracts, vendor quotes and provides information for authorizations as necessary.
  • Oversee department procurement-card program and serves as primary purchasing agent.
  • Assist with audits, monitoring activity and usage patterns, investigating unusual charges and recommending appropriate action.
  • Generate purchase requests with complete justification and multiple bids.
  • Maintain department vendor list and sources new vendors as necessary.
  • Identify industry-related trends and internal-related trends and provides resource analyses.
  • Ensure compliance with university, state, and federal regulations.
  • Create, maintain, and distribute various Excel and web/cloud-based reporting or metric reports, which includes data maintenance of Excel spreadsheets.
  • Coordinate on regular basis with Procurement Department
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you need:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field from a regionally accredited institution preferred.
  • Three years' related work experience, preferred.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background investigation.
  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University's Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University
