We're hiring a Manager, Procurement and Logistics!
The Procurement and Logistics Manager will join a dynamic and growing team responsible for supplying Steve & Kate's innovative, child-led programs across more than 50 locations nationwide. Reporting to the VP of Operations and working alongside two other Procurement Mangers, you will take a lead role in sourcing all equipment and supplies needed to launch a new program that will introduce Steve & Kate's signature activities in Bright Horizons back-up care centers. You will also support procurement and logistics functions across Steve & Kate's summer and break camps; bring extraordinary attention to detail in managing forecasting, purchase order creation, invoicing and budget tracking processes; and regularly engage in high pressure, time-sensitive negotiations with vendors to ensure on-budget and on-time delivery of critical items.

What you will be doing in this role:
- Work with VPs, current Procurement and Logistics Managers and Program Team to create an inventory and sourcing plan for a new back-up childcare care center program scheduled to launch in 30 centers during Summer '23.
- Develop and manage complex forecasting tools to determine precise quantity needs for all items based on anticipated number of programs, duration of operation, expected attendance and use.
- Source hundreds of SKUs with a 300k+ budget, while ensuring on-budget and on-time delivery to childcare centers nationwide.
- Manage vendor setup, purchase order creation, and high volume invoicing for purchasing activities in coordination with the Bright Horizons Accounts Payable and Procurement Departments.
- Strategic coordination with VP and the Finance Team to regularly forecast spend, ensure proper allocation of expenses and to review monthly financial reports.
- Provide Center Directors with inventories and develop processes to support repairs and re-stock of equipment to ensure smooth, uninterrupted operations of programs.
- Adapt and develop new vendor and product lists, budgets and logistical systems to support new program launches.
What we hope you will bring to this role:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 3 years of experience in budget management required
- 3 years of experience in managing schedules and/or logistical systems required
- 3 years of experience in procurement and/or vendor negotiations required
- Advanced Excel and quantitative reasoning
- Ability to manage and track budgets
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Comfortable and effective in high pressure negotiations
- Ability to expertly manage multiple, concurrent complex projects with time sensitive deadlines
- Ability to work with diverse stakeholders to achieve consensus and common goal achievement

The compensation for this role is $73,500 - $93,500.
