Procurement Analyst

Under the direction of the Manager of Corporate Procurement, the Procurement Analyst manages purchasing operations, spend analytics, and systems to ensure delivery of procurement programs to support business operations. This position works closely with all business unit key stakeholders to ensure delivery of procurement operations and supporting the business’ overall strategic vision. Other administrative work includes processing change orders, resolving invoice discrepancies, processing contract renewals, assisting with the management of promotional goods and inventory.
This position is eligible to work hybrid or onsite in accordance with our Telecommuting Policy. Applicants must reside in Kansas or Missouri or be willing to relocate as a condition of employment.

• Assist in procurement operations, including administrative support of purchase requisition, purchase orders, change orders or any other activities related to support business requirements.
• Negotiate and manage routine supplier agreements, minimizing exposure to contractual risk in external relationships.
• Understand business operations needs and foster a collaborative environment with key stakeholders.
• Utilize advanced data analysis skills to provide consolidated supplier spend analytics and identify savings opportunities.
• Support or execute sourcing events and reduce external spend through competitive bidding.
• May require scheduling meetings between business areas and suppliers for demonstration of capabilities or to facilitate issues arising from products supplied.
• Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of the procurement process.
• Building relationships and rapport with business areas to support strategic initiatives.
• Deliver updates and reports as and when required.
• Utilize strategic sourcing, procurement and inventory systems and software (Workday) for preparing contracts, purchase orders, competitive bids, etc.

• HS diploma or equivalent
• Two (2) years’ experience in a strategic sourcing, procurement, accounts payable, or inventory management
• Procurement knowledge and sound understanding of procurement.
• Strong business, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams.
• Working knowledge of redlining and negotiating contract terms and conditions
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Capable of managing multiple priorities, meet deadlines and work under pressure, while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to gather and analyze information skillfully and draw conclusions from data.

• Associate or bachelor’s degree.
• Previous government procurement experience.
• Working knowledge of Source-To-Pay software.
• Ability to read and comprehend legal contracting language.
