Supervises team of employees that process and packages Hard Cooked Eggs and pasteurize liquid egg products. Works hands on with the team to ensure production requirements are meet. Trained to operate and also oversee operation of a variety of processing equipment. Works closely with USDA inspector to ensure all food safety and food regulatory requirements are meet.
This position will have ability to take on progressively more responsible tasks with opportunity for continuous improvement and growth in our organization. Reports to Operations Manager.
- Primary responsibility Employ and Food Safety
- Must be a strong team leader and help develop and coach team members.
- Is responsible for pre-operation quality inspections, equipment set-up, hourly quality and food safety check, quality testing and routine operation.
- Review raw egg inventories and ensure required eggs are available for daily production runs.
- Work with production scheduler to ensure daily production requirements are meet
- Will coordinate with USDA inspector to ensure all quality standards are meet
- Will ensure accurate traceability methods are followed
- Keep work area/assembly clean demonstrating clean-as-you-go methods
- Ensure safe work conditions for all team members
- Prepares and understands a variety of paperwork associated with raw materials, traceability, packaging, quality, and controls. Responsible for timely completion and accuracy of paperwork
- Will be required to use computer software and electronic equipment to monitor or enter data, show receipt of goods, machine efficiency , egg quality, etc.
- Performs other tasks and duties as needed
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Bi-Lingual-English and Spanish not required but a plus
- Day shift Position starting times varying from at 5:00 AM to 6:00 PM
