Metagenics is seeking a Process Technician to join our team! In this role, you will identify and implement process improvements, provide daily support and troubleshooting of manufacturing problems, and assist in the development and maintenance of controlled documents. This role requires strong partnering with functional leads and key stakeholders in Technical Services, Quality Control, and Manufacturing. Under direction from the Supervisor and Manufacturing Engineering, you will work with cross-functional teams to identify process improvements, manage, and execute small-scoped projects, and update relevant guiding documentation. What you’ll do:
Responsibilities
- Work directly with Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality Control to execute on-floor data collection, process observations, and analysis to find identify waste.
- Analyze existing processes and procedures and provide recommendations for improvement initiatives.
- Identify and troubleshoot process issues and bottlenecks.
- Respond to manufacturing and packaging production-related problems as requested by supervisor and manufacturing engineering.
- Perform root cause analyses of production-related problems.
- Provide recommendations to supervisor and manufacturing engineering on process improvements.
- Manage the implementation of proposed process improvements.
- Help team members maintain newly implemented processes.
- Update and develop controlled documents to reflect current best practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you'll need:
Experience / Training / Education:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Project management skills
- Proficient in essential computer software including all Microsoft Office programs and SharePoint.
- Production scheduling experience helpful
- Technical writing
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience required.
Knowledge of:
- Good manufacturing practices

Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to independently identify problems, collect data, analyze data, and recommend solutions.

Physical requirements/working conditions:
- Sits at a computer station, meeting table or work desk for more than two-thirds of each day
- Stands and walks to other stations and departments throughout the day
- Uses hands and fingers to operate computers and office equipment most of the day
- May stoop or crouch to access files or storage
- Requires clear vision at 20 inches or less with or without corrective lenses
- Hearing and speech within normal ranges and sufficient for clear communication face to face and especially via the telephone
- Lifts up to 10 pounds regularly; lifts 25 pounds occasionally
- Exposed to noise levels typical of office environments
Compensation:
The current range for this role based out of Gig Harbor, WA is $28/hr.
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
