Job Description
Our company is seeking a dedicated and experienced Process Technician for our 2nd Shift. The successful candidate will have a strong background in plastic injection molding and will be responsible for setting up, monitoring, and troubleshooting our machines. This role is integral to our operations and requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong technical aptitude. Responsibilities- Set up, monitor, and troubleshoot plastic injection molding machines.
- Ensure machines, auxiliary equipment, and connected automated systems meet production standards and goals.
- Perform mold changes, process optimization studies, and process monitoring.
- Collect and analyze data on individual processes to identify high scrap parts and improve process capability.
- Interface with quality, materials, and scheduling personnel to ensure efficient resolution of problems and minimal machine downtime.
- Follow company safety rules, procedures, policies, and maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- High School education or GED preferred.
- Minimum three to five (3-5) years of hands-on plastic injection molding experience.
- Mold setup/tear-down with plastic trouble-shooting experience is required.
- Experienced with Nissei, Cincinnati, Toshiba, and Toyo injection molding machines.
- Forklift truck operation and overhead crane experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and technical abilities.
- Ability to operate forklift with boom attachment.
- Ability to speak/read/write in English and follow work instructions and procedures.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged hours.
- Must be able to climb up and down ladders occasionally.
- Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. occasionally during scheduled shift.
- Must be able to push, pull, bend, kneel, step, climb, stoop, grasp and reach on a frequent basis.
