Job Description
GENERAL FUNCTION
Work with production, engineering, and support teams to maximize machine uptime for automation equipment and assembly fixturing in order to safely meet quality standards and production goals.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with production, quality, engineering, and technical support teams to maintain performance including cycle times and quality yields.
- Work closely with Automation Engineers and Maintenance Technicians to adjust, upgrade and improve automated equipment in a production environment.
- Work with automation and engineering teams to create and maintain process documentation and training materials.
- Resolves problems utilizing problem-solving methods and collaboration with
- Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and cleaning to maximize uptime.
- Assist with assembling, testing and commissioning fixtures, machines and robots.
- Perform process troubleshooting, part inspections and various other functions to ensure part conformity and quality.
- Communicate and escalate any issues to supervisor/manager and engineering teams in a timely manner.
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate degree, technical school or equivalent 3+ years' experience with industrial automation/robotics and industrial controls (PLC, robot controller, microcontroller...etc.)
- Understanding of pneumatic diagrams, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics
- Ability to read, understand and communicate in English language to ensure adherence to documented procedures and current specifications is essential.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and critical thinking
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- BS degree in engineering
- Bilingual Spanish/English
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and service manuals.
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, cost effectiveness, and other techniques to ensure efficient production of quality products.
- Programming experience
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing methodology and concepts including 5S, value, eliminating waste, material flow...etc
Pay Details: $24.00 to $365.00 per hour
