- Here's the Gist:
Maintains and repairs the facility's process equipment, including working with chemicals, slurries, UPW and wastewater treatment. Performs skilled trades work, such as pipe fitting, pump repair, and equipment preventative maintenance. Works with manufacturing or process engineering in the installation or repair of building process plumbing and equipment required in the production process. Makes periodic or special inspections of the premise to determine repair work necessary. Works from blueprints, drawings or rough sketches.
The ideal Process Maintenance Technicianwill be able to perform a high degree of problem identification and troubleshooting assignments and participate effectively in a team environment.
This technician will work a 12-hour 7am - 7pm or 7pm-7am schedule, and will work at our main campus in Marcy NY.
The Day-to-Day
- Perform daily inspections on equipment throughout facility
- Maintaining clean work area, ensure all tools and equipment is kept in pristine condition
- Responding to emergency equipment failures and work in a team to solve complications
- Assisting other departments with issues that arise
- Maintain paperwork complete work orders (CMMS)
- Perform Preventative Maintenance on equipment as scheduled
- Ensure constant uptime of all systems under area of responsibility.
This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):
- Associate's degree, trade certification or10 yrs experience as a technician working with chemicals, slurries, UPW, and waste treatment operations in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge or experience in the following skill areas: lubrication, pneumatics, piping/plumbing repair, schematics and troubleshooting
- Experience with chemical distribution line flushes and purging activities
- Critical spare parts management
- Ability to organize work and meet deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to perform mathematical functions in all units of measure
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

- Ability to work in an industrial/manufacturing environment that has chemicals, pumps, motors, tanks, and other facilities related equipment
- Ability to work with machinery and moving parts
- Possess valid US driver's license to operate motor vehicles
- Ability to work with moving vehicles, ladders, and scaffolding
- Ability to work at heights, and in confined spaces
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment
- Ability to work in repetitive motions and pressure involving fingers, hands, and wrists

Compensation Range:
$27.15 - $37.35
