Position Summary:
The position will ultimately be responsible for implementing new and improved products within Vytalogy facilities, as well as into outside Co-Man factories (Technology Transfer), ensuring manufacturability, unit manufacturing cost optimization and operations design requirements are met. This position will help lead and/or participate on cross functional teams, accountable for the completion of Operations Plan deliverables in the transfer of these products. This role will help coordinate various operation groups to resolve product and process challenges to ensure the project timeline and documentation requirements are met to efficiently introduce new products and processes into nutraceutical manufacturing.
Your primary activities will include but are not limited to:
Develop and coordinate the completion of all work associated with the implementation of new and improved products into the manufacturing facilities. Includes planning of work, determination of batch sizes, recommending budgets and resources required.
Coordinate or execute the development or update of operations documentation, including but not limited to validation plans, reports, SOPs, specifications, change plans, etc. This also includes ensuring the proper level of reviews and approvals.
Validate blending capacity, processing equipment, and manufacturing and packaging processes.
Coordinate/Lead communications plans between Engineering team, Operational stakeholders, R&D core team, supply planning, procurement and any other key stakeholders in each project, lead or support training activities as required.
You’ll need the following (minimum qualifications):
* BS or BA in Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Biology, or equivalent with 4 years of relevant experience or
* MS in Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Biology, or equivalent
* Knowledge of Operations/Manufacturing/Release processes and systems is required.
* Organization/project management skills preferred, including working knowledge of MS Project.
* Multi-disciplined validation experience is strongly preferred (Process, product, software, method).
* GMP knowledge and ability to actively participate in external audits (GMED, FDA, etc.).
* Ability to work in an ambiguous environment and able to manage cross functional teams and conflicting objectives and priorities is required.
* Knowledge of data management tools and statistical process controls
* Ability to share complex principles of knowledge to others (team member, stakeholder, external, or inspection) along with strong technical writing abilities
* Experience working with database systems, business intelligence software and report generation.
* Effective self-management skills – ability to work independently, well organized, self-motivated, self-directed.
A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $90,000 Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
