Prn Position - Lpn - Addiction Treatment Center

LPN : Casual (PRN)

Are you looking for some extra hours? Do you want to be a part of a center that cares, helping people recover from substance abuse? Valiant Recovery is a new Addiction Treatment Center in Punta Gorda Florida and we are needing some PRN nurses in order to provide detox/ Paperwork to a couple clients. This is a light work position. Shifts are as needed with some flexibility, shifts will be up to 12 hours with detoxing clients.

Duties include:

• Assess new intakes, complete required paperwork on EMR
• On-site medical observation, monitoring
• Provides client / staff support.
• Administer medications
• Coordinates / communicates with ARNP and Medical director to ensure all protocols and medical needs are met..
• Trains / oversees non-medical staff to observe / report self-administration of medication.
• Ensures Medications are delivered, communicates w/ pharmacies as needed
• Completes / documents UA’s.
• Provides daily shift notes, documentation, evaluations and reports to EMR
• Follows all facility, State, and Federal policies and procedures including but not limited to client confidentiality, rights, and anonymity.

Qualifications and Experience preferred:

• Licensed practical nurse or registered nurse
• Addiction and or Mental health educational or personal experience is an asset.
• Applicants MUST be willing to abstain from ALL legal and illegal addictive substances while in employment, including alcohol, and marijuana.
• A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Must be able to work competently, both as a team and independently
• Flexibility to work in a field in which there are competing and changing priorities.

We are a drug-free workplace conducting random drug testing, including alcohol testing. A clean test is required prior to hire. We require all employees to be free from all addictive substances while in employment, on and off shift. This includes the use of alcohol, benzos, cannabis and Tobacco.

Pay: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour
