Overview

KORT Physical Thrapy is seeking an outpatient Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Owensboro, KY!

 

Our outpatient center in Owensboro, KY is seeking a licensed COTA to provide quality patirent care. We take pride in creating an exceptional patient experience, helping all of our patients get back to athletics, work, life, and the things they love. 

 

The ideal candidate will work mostly with hand therapy patients. Experience in hand therapy is preferred. Best practices and evidence-based programs are utilized for individualized patient care. You will work closely with a CHT. Our clinics are fully equipped to provide care to patients ranging from post-surgical, non-operative to work conditioning. Schedule: on an as needed basis (Monday-Friday)

Compensation: starting at $21.00/hour

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the licensed occupational therapist, optimize the functional abilities and skills of patients.
• Teach clients new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable components
• Ensure delivery of high-quality patient care services.
• Observe, note, and report on the progress of long and short-term treatment goals
• Ensure proper documentation of patient care.
• Maintain professional standards through compliance with quality assurance policies/ procedures as well as applicable regulations and corporate policies

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an ACOTA accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) program
• National registration and state COTA licensure or registration REQUIRED
• Outpatient hand therapy fieldwork in lieu of experiece if new graduate
• Outpatient hand therapy experience in last two years if practicing COTA.
• Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
