The PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to provide therapy services to patients in a variety of settings, including hospitals, clinics, and rehabilitation centers. The COTA will assist in developing treatment plans, implementing interventions, and monitoring patient progress.
- Assist in developing treatment plans based on patient needs and goals
- Implement interventions as directed by the Occupational Therapist
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Document patient progress and communicate with other healthcare professionals as needed
- Provide education to patients and their families on therapy techniques and home exercises
- Assist with equipment and supply management
- Adhere to all ethical and legal standards of practice
- Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Valid state license to practice as a COTA
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to lift and move patients and equipment as needed
