Private Event Manager | Sixpoint Brewery – Brookfield Place
Coming soon to Manhattan, the Brooklyn Born Mad Scientists fromSixpoint Brewery will be opening their first taproom in Manhattan within the iconic Brookfield Place! This taproom will feature 200 seats on the interior and boasts an incredible 150-seat exterior Beer Garden, offering a full bar, fully from scratch chef-crafted kitchen, Sixpoint at Brookfield Place will be the place to be any time of the year.
We are seeking a Private Event Managerwho believes Beer is Culture and is ready to bring our brand of Hospitality to life in Manhattan! This combined role offers an exciting opportunity for an individual passionate about both the hospitality industry and event management. This unique position requires the ability to manage both the day-to-day operations of our taproom as well as oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of Private Events held at our establishment. You will be committed to continuously striving for and delivering an outstanding guest experience and have a strong passion for culinary excellence.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Private Events Coordination:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients interested in hosting Private Events in our taproom.
- Inspect event room prior to the start of each function – check room setup, menu, service staff, etc. conforms to function sheet.
- Greet customers prior to the start of each function and be present throughout the event to assist where needed.
- Continually observe, direct and assist staff where necessary during the entire event. Ensure that all the details as per the functions sheet are performed.
- Prepare and complete and accurate bill to the customer at the completion of the function and collect final payment. If another payment arrangement has been made, have the terms noted on the bill.
- Solicit and promote guest traffic (business development) through advertising, cold calling, contacting past customers, relationships with local businesses and other cost-effective marketing strategies to drive sales.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their event requirements, offering suggestions and guidance to create memorable experiences.
- Monitor, track and manage all Private Event inquiries (For Brookfield Place and City Point locations) and bookings through the company’s Tripleseat platform.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of events, overseeing setup, service, and breakdown.
- Manage event budgets, invoicing, and payments, ensuring financial targets are met.
Taproom Management:
- Supervise and lead team during designated shifts in the taproom on an as needed basis.
- Work with the General Manager and Taproom Management team to establish a strong team culture and create policies/procedures as needed to continually run day-to-day operations and exceed guest expectations.
- Conduct opening and closing tasks on an as needed basis.
- Ensure a smooth front-of-house operation, and step in to lead and assist staff as necessary during busy, peak times.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- A minimum of 1 year as a restaurant supervisor and or external marketing/ event execution.
- Preferred experience in working in various other restaurant roles as a server, host, bartender, etc.
- Knowledge of craft beer and/or serious interest in understanding craft beer styles and the industry.
- Knowledge and understanding of financial aspects of business operations.
- Self-motivated and exhibiting an aptitude for leading, coaching, and driving excellence.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and calmly react to and handle stressful situations and customer complaints.
- Detail-oriented and able to multi-task and prioritize your workload.
