Responsibilities:
· Manage and work with analysts to best perform acquisition strategies on behalf of the firm.
· Help create new financial models and/or modify existing models to evaluate potential development, redevelopment, or investment opportunities. Models include project and portfolio level performance and structured finance.
· Assist upper management with the overall acquisition, development, management, and disposition of Real Estate assets.
· Create financial models to evaluate property exit strategies with operating costs, revenue, and income streams.
· Assist in the multifamily financing process.
· Creating equity waterfalls to model investor return metrics and return splits.
· Quickly and efficiently source investment opportunities from our deal pipeline.
· Assist in broker outreach and overall deal sourcing strategies.
. Assist in the preparation of offering memorandums, reports, presentations, and all other materials needed to present to upper management, investment committees, current and/or potential investors, or lenders.
· Assist with due diligence and closings for acquisitions by the company, preparation of lending packages and packages for prospective investors in identified transactions.
. Track macroeconomic and market specific performance indicators within our existing and potential markets.
. Regularly compile market data and create reports for targeted and potential markets, including data on rents, supply, absorption, cap rates, vacancies, etc.
Qualifications:
· Education: Completed bachelor's degree with focus in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or any Business-related field. Advanced degrees or certifications is a plus but not required (MBA, JD, CFA, or CAIA)
· Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience as an associate or senior analyst in a Real Estate, Private Equity, or investment banking related role. Positions such as but not limited to: Asset Manager, Real Estate Development/Investment Associate or Analyst, Private Equity Associate or Analyst, Investment Banking Associate or Analyst, Mortgage Sales/Underwriting, Financial Analyst, and Jr Analyst/Associate
· Very strong financial modeling skillset in MS Excel
· Knowledge in MS PowerPoint, Word, and financial analysis programs such as ARGUS
· Ability to work independently or in a team/group setting.
