This position will be a hybrid work arrangement, which translates to 2-3 days minimum per week in the office.
The Private Equity Accountant is responsible for the financial accounting and reporting for a variety of the firm's fund portfolio.
The ideal candidate is someone who is:
  • Able to exhibit strong technical accounting skills.
  • Focused on providing timely, accurate work.
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and written.
  • Work independently as well as successfully part of a team.
What you will do:
  • Maintain general ledger accounts for assigned fund portfolio.
  • Responsible for all aspects of daily and monthly activities related to the funds, including preparing cash analyses to determine distribution needs, preparing distribution packages, and monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Perform quarterly reconciliations for fund operating activity.
  • Produce quarterly capital account statements and other required reporting, such as debt compliance reports.
  • Prepare annual audited financial statements and assist auditors with annual audit.
  • Prepare ad hoc requests and help with department projects related to continuous improvement.

Education
  • Bachelor of Science (B.S) or equivalent experience (CPA a plus)
Work Experience
  • 3-5 years; finance/accounting experience
