Michigan Heart Group is a high volume and fast paced Cardiology practice in Troy, Michigan. Michigan Heart Group specializes in clinical, diagnostic, and interventional cardiology, vascular medicine and electrophysiology. We have two offices in Troy, one office in Novi and one office in Macomb. The Billing team is located at the main office in Troy. We are in need of an organized, friendly and detail-oriented individual within the Billing department.
Position Responsibilities:
- Obtain Prior Authorizations for diagnostic testing.
- Retrieve Patient Voicemail messages and distribute via email to the team.
- Verify patient insurance coverage & confirm Prior Authorization team obtained and noted testing authorization.
- Confirm referrals are obtained.
- Work and communicate with peers.
- Scan encounter forms into E H R.
- Post office charges and balance batches.
Position Qualifications and Skills:
- Min 1 year of experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to learn medical software quickly. (EPIC and Allscripts)
- Team driven with the ability to communicate effectively and maintain professional and ethical standards of conduct.
- Ability to perform accurate work in fast-paced department.
- Ability to feel comfortable asking questions and to problem solve.
- Medical Office experience is a plus.
This position is full-time working 40 hours Mon-Fri.
Job Type: Full-time
Starting pay $16.00 + depending on years of experience.
