Prior Auth And Surgery Scheduler

Description

We are looking for a candidate who has experience with scheduling surgery or procedures for surgeons, interventional pain management specialists, podiatrists, or any other specialty that would require a physician to schedule time in the operating room or procedure suite. This is a full-time position that requires you to work on site in our Bellevue, WA location. You will be asked to obtain Prior Authorizations from insurances, coordinate schedules with the clinic procedure room, hospital OR, & the surgery center, along with coordinating those surgery times with patients. We need someone who is comfortable working in a team environment and reporting to the physician owners and practice administrator.

As a Surgery Scheduler your duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Pre-authorization calls with insurance companies
• Industry/EHMC authorizations
• Ketamine/Spravato/Vyepti authorization and specialty pharmacy distribution
• Surgery schedule coordination with proper surgical facility
• Scheduling surgery dates & times with patients
• Knowledge & expertise of EMR
• Knowledge & expertise of procedures, procedure times, and outcome expectations
• Educating patients on Preoperative requirements
• Coordination with Medical Assistants, Office Manager, Physicians, & outside facilities
• Organization of patients, schedules, and materials
• Spravato screens
• EHMC Scheduling
• Rep. Coordination

Work hours are typically 9 am – 5 pm Monday-Friday. There are no evening or weekend hours.
