Label Press Lead Operator - Full Time 4/10 Schedule - Flexo Printing

We are looking for a great candidate to work a 4 day, 10 hour schedule in an important lead press operator role in our Georgia label manufacturing facility! We are currently hiring for 1st and 2nd shift, schedules detailed below.

This position has one primary function at our North Georgia facility, located near the North Georgia Premium Outlet Malls:

• Operate a high-speed Flexo printing press to convert and print custom labels for our Fortune 500 customers.

Daily tasks for this position include:

• Run a flexographic printing press to make finished rolls of labels.
• Inspect all finished goods as they come off the turret rewinder or fanfolder.
• Convert and print labels to spec following all quality control procedures and processes.
• Work as a team to keep our Label Press running at maximum capacity, minimizing downtime and making rolls of high-quality finished labels.
• Label/prep product boxes as a team while the press is running, fill and load boxes of finished rolls from the turret rewinder.
• Follow our Manufacturing Schedule and work with Production management.
• Ensures company policies and quality control procedures are being followed.
• Maintain a clean & organized work space and assist in maintaining housekeeping standards and safety initiatives throughout production area.

• Ability to lift up to 30lbs frequently and up to 80lbs occasionally
• Willingness to learn our processes and procedures
• Dexterity and physical stamina to handle rolls of labels and supplies
• Be willing and able to work as a team with a press operator
• Ability to read and understand job jacket specs and instructions.

Important things to know about this position:

• Four day work weeks, ten hours/day.
• 2nd Shift Work Hours: 4pm - 2am, Monday - Thursday, Four Days a Week (10 hour shift), 3-day weekend every week.
• 1st Shift Work Hours: 6am - 4pm, Monday - Thursday and/or Tuesday-Friday, Four Days a Week (10 hour shifts)
• Overtime is frequently available for peak seasons and meeting emergency customer needs.

• Previous Flexo printing/converting experience is preferred for this position.
• Starting compensation will depend on experience.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
