Print Production Manager

AlphaGraphics is a locally owned printing and marketing communications company seeking a career-orientated production scheduler to oversee our design and production areas. Responsibilities:

• Implements the vision and business plan of the Owner on a day to day basis
• Oversees and manages the overall day-to-day production operations of the business
• Implements principals of lean manufacturing and workflow processes
• Maintains strong relationships with vendors and coordinates purchasing efforts to ensure adequate paper, toner and other materials are in inventory to complete jobs on time
• Knows and understands the capabilities of the print and bindery equipment and uses this knowledge to efficiently schedule production
• Maintains relationships with trade printers and binderies and manages sublet vendors as required
• Provides support to the sales team; serves as a liaison between sales and operations ensuring on-time delivery of products and services

Requirements:

• Must be very structured and process-oriented
• Must have experience operating digital printers, wide format and bindery equipment
• Must be able to implement policies and procedures
• College degree preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe products. 
• Above average in computer systems
• Prefer experience with design software
• Experience with direct mail and variable data projects are preferred
• Must be able to effectively communicate internally through verbal and written communications.
• 5-10 years print industry management experience preferred
