Principal Training Consultant
The Omnicell Principal Training Consultant will serve as a liaison between sales, professional services and the customer in order to determine the best education plan for the customer prior to onsite training . The Principal Training Consultant works collaboratively with the Omnicell internal teams to plan and facilitate education activities such as custom curriculum creation, scheduling of training, and participation on project calls. The Principal Training Consultant acts as the primary education liaison with the customer during the planning phase to communicate during project kick-off meetings, planning and communicating training facility requirements and equipment with the customer account and establish training schedule expectations. Partnering with the field implementation and project coordination, this position develops customer relationships, conducts customer workflow analysis, and recommends education and troubleshooting strategies, when needed to help resolve customer issues. Actively collaborates in onboarding process and ongoing internal team education.
Responsibilities
- Ensure successful adoption of Omnicell solutions.
- Provide consultative advice on education and solution best practices during planning and implementation.
- Interact with client executives for planning of scope of education ensuring the right training at the right time for the right hospital roles.
- Communicate eLearning expectations and collaborate with Omnicell’s eLearning team
- Participate in relevant project management calls to: educate customers on education offerings, facilitate development of an appropriate education plan/schedule, engage in workflow discussions, establish training environment, and set training schedule expectations.
- Scheduling of training and coordination of resources
- Collaborate with internal teams to communicate relevant information including product and/or customer feedback or opportunities for improvement to Omnicell personnel.
- Perform workflow analysis, provides consulting on workflow changes that need to occur with the implementation of new functionality solutions and validates post-go-live to resolve gaps or outstanding issues.
- Leads internal team training activities including collaboration for software updates, onboarding, and ongoing training.
- Lead education sessions for pharmacists, technicians and other healthcare users.
- Design and prepare role-based education plans to support the specific solutions being implemented.
- Assist instructors with the production of classroom handouts, instructional materials, job aids and manuals.
- Plan and configure training environment to prepare users for use in the classroom.
- Direct structured learning experiences and monitor for their quality results.
- Implement training program at customer locations to provide sustainable training model.
- Provides Best Practice recommendations. Provide input to new hire training and ongoing user training during system changes and upgrades.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (written, verbal)

- Strong interpersonal, organizational, leadership, and prioritization skills
- Being self-motivated, self-directed, and innovative.
- Maintaining a flexible schedule to accommodate hours for training and project planning
- Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools and techniques
Required Qualifications
- Clinical experience in pharmacy and/or nursing
- 7 years of demonstrated clinical education/consulting experience in acute/non-acute settings
- 3 years of demonstrated experience working with Omnicell products and solutions
- Experience leading educational process for large, multisite accounts
- Experience working interdepartmentally, engaging key players throughout multiple disciplines
- Ability to manage multiple, complex priorities with demanding timeframes
- Strong organizational skills Strong leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of demonstrated clinical education/consulting experience in acute/non-acute settings Bachelor’s Degree or actively working towards degree completion
Work Conditions:
- Overnight travel up to 40%
- Work various time zones as necessary to accommodate customer account needs
