Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between Project Management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
Specific Requirements:
The Candidate will act as a Logistics Lead on a special defense project. Typical duties will include inventory control, government property management, kitting, shipping and receiving, crane and forklift operations, DD1149 generation.
Basic Qualifications Principal Project Manager:
- Principal Project Manager (A3) – 6yrs with Bachelors Degree.
- * Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.*
- 5 yrs relevant experience in Project Management, storeroom logistics, product support, or warehouse experience OR a Bachelors degree with 0 years of experience.
- Can work independently without excessive oversight and direction.
- Has excellent organizational skills.
- Can communicate cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical peers.
- Is proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Willingness and ability to move perform manual work (moving packages, unboxing material, etc.) on an as needed basis.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance.
- US Citizenship is a prerequisite
- SAP working knowledge
- Crane/Forklift certification
- Experience taking and managing inventory
- Active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance.
