Provides technical service regarding equipment maintenance, reliability, and supporting processes. Leads and/or supports continuous improvement by analyzing equipment, identifying potential issues, and improving maintenance work processes and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Serves as a project technical expert to analyze equipment design versus function from a reliability perspective.
- Ensures and / or establishes equipment minimal cost of ownership, life cycle expectations, equipment efficiency, equipment acceptance criteria, and ensuring safe maintainability.
- Leads integration of Reliability Centered Maintenance practices with new equipment capital projects to reduce equipment life cycle costs and optimize equipment performance.
- Leads the management, implementation, and monitoring of programs intended to increase the uptime of assets. Such programs include but are not limited to: Preventive/Predictive Maintenance Optimization, Reliability-Centered Maintenance, Condition-Based Maintenance, and Total Productive Maintenance programs.
- Analyzes equipment performance data and develops corrective action plans and strategies.
- Provides guidance on the development of optimized maintenance procedures (work instructions and job plans) and measurement processes (metric & KPI's) for new and existing equipment.
- Ensures maintenance procedures, measurements / metrics, and processes support site goals and objectives.
- Monitors site and production areas to make recommendations, initiate and lead process improvements. Identifies and develops solutions to enhance site and production efficiencies, quality, and operations.
- Supports Site Master Planning for production equipment and processes by identifying long and short-range maintenance needs and requirements. Considers key factors such as manufacturing processes, organizational structure and culture, community, regulatory requirements, site and network priorities and strategies, and capacity rates and volumes.
- Provides technical guidance and oversight regarding repair of manufacturing and packaging systems.
- Leads complex technical root cause analysis, incident investigations, and troubleshooting on equipment (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control system problems).
- Analyzes problems, develops, and proposes engineering solutions using data-driven techniques and analyses.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (with 10 year's relevant technical maintenance experience); or Associate's degree with 12 years of technical maintenance experience; or high school diploma / GED with 14 years of relevant technical maintenance experience.
