Duration: 12 Months
Location: Bellevue, WA
Hours are approximately 20 a week. They would need to be able to come into the office between 8-5 to be able to work with others.
This is a hybrid role. Must be available to work hybrid.

The R&D lab is currently seeking a part-time contract Principal RF and Antenna Specialist to join the Engineering team at our Bellevue headquarters. Contribute to new product development, and work with and learn from accomplished and interesting engineers with a strong history of successful cardiac monitoring product development.
The right person will have a strong curiosity about how things work, has a history of taking things apart, likes learning, and does embedded projects on their own. The main area of contribution will be the development of antennas and RF transceiver solutions used by microcontrollers.
What you'll be doing:
Determine technical requirements for RF and Antenna subsystems within products.
Design, develop, review and test embedded RF and Antenna systems associated with our cardiac arrhythmia monitor and manufacturing systems.
Work with development and product team to determine system performance requirements.
Participate in system design reviews, code reviews and hardware reviews.
Bring Antenna solutions for new designs and troubleshoot issues.
Mentor junior engineers to improve their skills and enable their growth.
Work with the Manufacturing Team to transfer products to production.
Work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
What you'll bring:
MS in Electrical Engineering (Ph.D. preferred)
10+ years of demonstrated success in designing, implementing, and shipping both RF circuitry and embedded antennas.
Design for manufacturing experience with a proven track record of developing and shipping high-volume RF and Antenna solutions (e.g. ? 10 million antenna shipped, ?20 issued patents within the RF and Antenna space).
Own and proficiently use RF-specific test equipment and tools to facilitate independent design, execution and prototyping of RF and Antenna subsystems (VNA, spectrum analyzer, linear simulator software, microscope, fine-pitch soldering equipment etc.)
