Job description

This is a full-time Principal position at South Ripley Junior High School. The position is on a 215-day contract, beginning July 1, 2024.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will assume the position of Principal of South Ripley Junior High School. This person will use leadership, supervisory and administrative skills to promote the educational development of each student. This person will lead the school toward its mission of "Educating students today to become responsible citizens of tomorrow."
Job Requirements:
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and administering the total educational program at South Ripley Junior High School. This responsibility shall include implementing the comprehensive evaluation system, leading instructional programs, extra-curricular programs, and establishing and maintaining positive community relations. This role also includes district level responsibilities such as corporation test coordinator and curriculum specialist.
Job Qualifications:
Candidates must possess:

  • A Masters Degree or higher with a major in Educational Administration/Leadership.
  • A valid Indiana Secondary Administrative License is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of successful teaching experience with at least some level of successful experience as a building level leader is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability and willingness to function as a member of an administrative team.
  • Knowledge of using student-level data to drive instruction.
  • Ability to provide leadership in curriculum and instruction as needed at all levels of the school district.
