NGMS is seeking a Logistics Engineer 3 to join our SEIT & Product Support organization in Baltimore, MD. The successful candidate will apply experience in data analysis, maintenance processes and product support to serve as a Logistician in a variety of product areas supporting US Army, US Air Force, US Navy, US Marine Corps and other Customers.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Reviewing field support requirements and recommending tool and test equipment
- Suggesting calibration requirements for field systems/equipment including all maintenance tasks
- Supporting maintenance and maintainability demonstrations for customers.
- Manage and maintain the day-to-day interfaces and communications between the assigned Program Management Office (PMO), Manufacturing, Test, Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP), Mission Assurance (MA), Supply Chain (SCM), Engineering, and Shipping.
- Present at weekly Program Management Review with customer.
- Assisting in the development of maintenance engineering and logistics support.
- Contributing to proposal efforts
- Interacting with team leads to interpret Customer needs and requirements
- Participating in and presenting technical information in team and customer meetings
- Performing logistics product support analyses to identify parts, equipment, activities and skillset necessary to maintain systems and retain operational availability
- Coordinating with other team members to integrate sparing and level of repair analyses results into Logistics Support Analysis.
- Draft 1149's. Coordinate packing shipment, along with pickups and drop offs. Physically deliver or pick up high priority items from commercial package delivery entities such as FedEx and UPS.
- Conduct monthly inventories and complete annual inventories of GFE. Coordinate with lab engineers and FSRs to locate and identify assets.
- Work with team to identify DMSMS items. Work on mitigation and solutions. Track inventory of DMS items, and recommend LTB of DMS items to customer.
- Manage system items for major customers, and multiple sites. CONUS and OCONUS. Provide spares status and locations to all Operating Unit members.
- Track and coordinate field repairs and DEPOT level repairs. Monitor material lead times in support of repairs. Provide asset serviceable status to customers.
- React quickly to program needs by identifying the goal and laying out the process to achieve it.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience, A Master's degree with 3 years of experience or a PhD with 0 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics. 4 additional years may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Active DoD Secret clearance required
- Candidate must be a US citizen
- Prior experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Candidate must be a US citizen
- Prior experience utilizing relational database software
- Advanced knowledge in utilizing MS Office Suite including: Word, Excel and Access
- Knowledge of Integrated Product support elements and GEIA-STD-0007-B
- Ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance
- Willingness to physically work, and travel between NGC buildings in Baltimore area.
- Experience with SAP
- Experience with GOLD
- Ability to handle fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in technical discipline.
- Ability to use data and information to support ILS analysis, provisioning, preparing documentation, and implementing capabilities to include work products such as: Logistics Support Analysis and Logistic Support Data Development/Logistics Management Information (LMI) summary Reports
- Level of Repair Analysis understanding
- Sparing and spares analysis/Recommendation
- Maintenance Planning and Recommendations
- Integrated Logistics Support Plan (ILSP)
- Experience with Logistic Product Database software tools such as SLICwave, PowerLogJ, etc.
- Experience with military logistic support on acquisition programs
- Experience with Manufacturing, Test, Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP), Mission Assurance (MA), Supply Chain (SCM), Engineering, and Shipping.
- Experience with Global Hawk, G/ATOR, and or VADER

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
This position is contingent upon transfer of DoD Secret Clearance
Salary Range: $77,000.00 - $115,400.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
