Airswift has been tasked by one of our major petrochemical clients to seek a Principal Discipline Engineer to join their team in Port Arthur, TX on a 12-month assignment, potential extension.
The Engineering Studies to be done by on-site contractors include:
- Develop Pre-FEED and FEED phase of a new 1,500psig boiler on-site including environmental emissions
- Develop Pre-FEED and FEED phase of the process to pre-treat the C3+ stream to meet sales contract spec
- Will be the site-representative or project manager face to 3rd party engineering companies
- Will ensure site-input data, field walks, etc. are organized and provided to a multi-disciplinary team of 3rd party engineering to develop assigned projects on time and schedule.
- Review and comment on project documentation generated by 3rd party Engineering Service Suppliers specific to the engineering discipline, including PFD, H&M Balance, P&ID, Datasheets, Process description, Control philosophy, Hazop and C&E Matrix
- Organize project follow-up meeting with Asset Owner (operations, process, HSE) and with 3rd party engineering service supplier, including specifically: SOR & PDB review, P&ID review, Hazop
Qualifications:
- Engineering degree
- 5+ years’ experience in Capital Projects at Refining & Petrochemical facilities
- Experience working in an engineering company
- Strong project management skills
- Knowledgeable in Project Management through Gate Process, US Engineering standards, best practices, and regulations applicable to projects
