Form of workWithin the Capital Markets and Analytics, Resolution and Recovery Planning Office (RRPO) is a critical regulatory compliance function that requires banks to develop strategies, actions, and execution plans to recover from extreme financial stress and, in the event of a failure, to resolve the bank with minimal losses to depositors. The RRPO is responsible for managing and overseeing the Resolution and Recovery plan development and related processes, including coordination with business partners across all parts of the organization and major risk-management functions.
We are seeking a dedicated, disciplined, and analytical professional who excels in a team environment. This associate should have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to change quickly. They should also have experience in proactively driving work across functions
Responsibilities:
Build scripts for ongoing automation initiatives and technology integration for more efficient and well-managed resolution plan development processes
Leverage Capital One technology platforms to deploy solutions for use by associates in RRPO
Support analysis, structuring, and updates for key narrative and data content in the Resolution Plans
Build and maintain relationships with diverse partner teams across the company, providing guidance to teams within Finance (Treasury, Balance Sheet Management, Controller’s Group, etc.), lines of business, and operational staff functions
Evaluate of new regulatory changes related to technology and their impact in the Resolution and Recovery Planning space, then incorporate those changes into the Plans
Responsible for supporting Resolution Planning Program Manager and Director to ensure all components of the Plans are delivered on time and prepare updates for Senior Leadership
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or military experience
At least 2 years of experience in Financial Analysis, or in Technology projects or a combination
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in Process Improvement and Automation
Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (Python)
Well versed in the usage of github
Understanding of AWS and the core services
