Description

SAIC is seeking an exceptional individual to support the Air Force's next generation Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) weapon system acquisition. Our customer is the Sentinel Program Office located at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. We are seeking a Aerospace Engineer with a willingness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment. This is a great opportunity to work on the most exciting and challenging development and acquisition effort in the DoD with a great company. This position requires the ability to work efficiently under minimal  supervision, exercising initiative and independent judgment in the performance of assigned tasks.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting the United States Air Force manage its internal deliverable review process for the Sentinel program
• Evaluating the Prime contractor’s mechanical drwaings and deliverables
• Supporting review of Critical Design Review data
• Developing support documents, summaries, reports, presentations and other designated products in support of Government senior leaders 

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics
• 7 years (with BS) or 5 years (with MS) directly related experience
• Active U.S. Government Secret clearance with a background investigation completed < 6 years prior to hiring
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD Security Clearance
• Proactive person with a positive attitude and a “team player” mentality
• Highly organized with acute attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
• Demonstrated self-discipline to plan and prioritize their own work
• Skilled in conducting quantitative analysis, learning new and exciting concepts, and effectively communicating sophisticated ideas to a variety of partners

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:

• ICBM maintenance, training systems, or operations experience
• DOD Acquisitions experience
• Professional Engineering License
• Systems Engineering experience and/or Certification
• Active DoD Top Secret Clearance
• Agile development experience
• Systems engineering/Agile tools: Cameo, MATLAB, DOORS, JIRA, Confluence
• Classified government IT systems expereince
• Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote
