PW Laundry Attendant I
Primary Responsibilities Ensure the proper handling and processing of Hotel linen and uniforms in accordance with standards established by the Prince Waikiki.
Essential Duties:
1. Operate pressing and ironing equipment.
2. Fold and stack linen.
3. Sort employee uniforms by department and hang on racks.
4. Clean equipment and surrounding work areas.
5. Perform other duties assigned by the Executive Housekeeper or Assistant Housekeeper.
Other Duties:
1. Deliver clean employee uniforms to the Uniform Room.
2. Assist the laundry washers in sorting uniforms according to color.
3. Assist the laundry washers to load and unload washer and dryers.
Working Conditions:
1. Air conditioned Laundry Department.
Work Hours:
1. Shifts vary from 6:00am to 11 pm/ 7 days a week
Equipment Use:
1. Steamer iron
2. Unipress
3. Home type washer
4. Spotting board
5. Ironer machine
6. 35# washer
Mental and Physical Demands:
1. Must be able to operate pressing and ironing equipment.
2. Must be able to push, pull or lift heavy loads weighing up to 30 lbs.
3. Must be able to push/pull wheeled racks weighing up to 50 lbs.
Communication Demands:
1. Must be able to communicate verbally with employees
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
1. Ability to read and write the English language to complete the production log and understand information, such as safety labels and instructions.
