A Day in the Life
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Build and maintain scalable mobile test automation frameworks and supporting infrastructure for Mobile Applications.
- Responsible for all automation and performance testing activities - planning, script design, test script generation/maintenance, performance test execution, report generation, results analysis, defect generation and following up for closure.
- Drive continual improvement of the automation and performance testing process at the team level.
- Contribute to developing and enhancing the automation framework as well as keeping it up to date with changes in functionality.
- Participate in peer reviews of Test Engineers' test designs and be self-directed in test case design, execution, results analysis and defect reporting.
- Gain experience working in a regulated environment including how to write, review, and document code and tests for regulatory agencies
Work with test lead to successfully implement and monitor test deliveries. - Help define tests based on requirements using the Gherkin business readable test description language.
- Provide concise, timely, and accurate status reports of all verification activities.
- Bachelors degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field required
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience
Nice to Have
- Your exact iOS experience clearly demonstrated on your resume.
- 3+ years of experience developing and executing automated test cases on mobile applications required.
- Experience with Mobile testing frameworks such as Appium, Espresso, XCUITest.
- Regulatory and compliance standards applied to the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
- Experience with object-oriented programming languages (Swift, Objective-C, Kotlin, or Java).
- Experience with test execution frameworks (e.g., Gitlab).
- Experience leading a team of Test Engineers.
- Experience working with other leaders to establish project scope, duration, and resourcing.
- Experience with code repositories (e.g., Artifactory, Gitlab).
- Experience with utilization of testing through device farms (e.g., Sauce Labs).
- Broad knowledge of Software Test architecture and software tools for Web and mobile software applications.
- Experience with core software development.
- Experience as a quality analyst or quality specialist.
- Experience with medical device Software Testing (especially per IEC 62304.
- Participation in and understanding of Agile software development.
- Experience defining XML and JSON.
- Knowledge of wireless network technologies.
